Night Stop: Soldotna // Shaw Family Home
Today is our bear adventure day! Let’s cross our fingers for great weather, as this full-day activity is dependent on good flying conditions. We will either go to Katmai NP or Lake Clark NP, deferring to the local pilots and companies and their professional advice on where the bears are in the later season. If this activity isn’t available, we can go on a boat excursion across Katchemak Bay. After our long and incredible day, we will drive a couple hours to Soldotna, where we will stay at my cousin’s home and have a relaxing evening fire and pizza party!
Activity Options: Bear viewing; boat cruise across the bay; evening fire and relaxation

To round off the Great Alaskan Adventure, our final activity will be to go salmon fishing on the world famous Kenai River. Weather/condition permitting, one of my family members (or a trusted substitute!) will accompany us as our guide, and we will go slay delicious Alaskan salmon! Combined with our halibut haul, you will have a lot of fish to take home if you choose! You can check a fish box on the airplane - the best/most affordable option for sure. We can have it processed and packaged properly locally. We will celebrate our mighty journey throughout the Last Frontier with a delicious evening meal and another fire at my family’s home.

Night Stop: Anchorage // Arctic Fox B&B
All good things must come to an end…
The Last Frontier
We will drive the scenic route back to Anchorage, keeping our schedule flexible dependent on return flights. As planned, you will be staying in town until the following evening. Hooray for more time in Alaska! If conditions allow, we could stop at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center for a last-minute activity. Or we may just opt to roll into town, get a bite, then say our heartfelt goodbyes. Fortunately, you will have the full next day to explore downtown and other areas as desired - you could walk/run/bike the Coastal Trail, visit the incredible Anchorage Museum, watch fascinating National Park films at the Federal Building, or just shop and relax! This is a trip of a lifetime, and we will create lifelong memories, photos, and stories to tell far and wide! XO
Activity Options: Scenic drive; Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center; evening meal and celebration
